The trip started in Lisbon, Europe’s most occidental capital, from where I headed (mainly) east. After passing Barcelona and Venice I retraced Maro Polo’s steps to Istanbul - the city on the Bosphorus, the only metropolis on two continents and my gateway to Asia.
From here on, I cycled on the world oldest trade link – the fabled Silk Road – always to the east through Central Asia and the famous Pamir Mountain. Through China I got to Hong Kong from where on I will go further through Oceania and Australia before arriving to New Zealand...
