Who does the donation money go to?

Every contribution will benefit the Ho-Chi-Minh City Child Foundation (HCWF) in Vietnam. Donation addressee as well as project custodian is terres des hommes Deutschland e.V. Hilfe für Kinder in Not (terres des hommes Germany e. V. – Support for Children in Need).

In some places all over the world neglect or family problems can lead to children living on the streets and being homeless. This situation forces them to look after themselves without adult help. HCWF, based in Vietnam, tries to help children to have a better life - through offers of education, apprenticeships etc. They try to help children avoid delinquency, drug abuse or prostitution.

Some of these children also get confronted with violence and drugs which can lead to HIV and AIDS. They desperately need care, support and encouragement.

HIV and AIDS aren’t easy topics for young children and adolescents to deal with. HCWF organises drawing contests to help to educate children about the topic of low immunity. Families with family members who are suffering from disease get regular help from trained counsellors. They help them to get organised with their medical regime and help them to answer questions about their illness - especially in difficult situations. More information about the project
